My background is in graphic design and [live] animation.
In the passed years I developed an undercurrent fascination for straight forms, stroboscopic movement and analogue machines. As soon I came in contact with the principle of synthetic sound on film, I started to build cinematic instruments and installations based on 'optical sound': moving form and light which create sound.
The unique study ArtScience Mmus [KABK/KonCon, The Hague] I do right now supports my research and my development in a artistic, technical and historical way.
Here you'll find my works and also a bunch of interests, links and texts mainly related to visual music.
